She began as a high school art teacher and went on to earn five teaching degrees, including a master's degree and certification as areading specialist. In retirement, she remains active in the arts community, volunteering with the Atlantic Center for the Arts (ACA) and creating distinctive paper collages that reflect her lifelong passion for education and the arts.   Sue Flynn became a Personal Chef in 2002 after a 30-year career in retail. A member of the United States Personal Chef Association (USPCA), she earned her certification in 2005. Her lifelong interest in teaching found expression at Atlantic Center for the Arts, where she has led culinary programs including "Food as Art" for middle school students, ACA's summer art camp, and most recently The Healing Arts for Homeschool Students program (2022–2025). Nadine Soldivieri is an accomplished performer and teacher with an extensive background in the performing arts. She earned her Associate of Arts degree in Theatre Arts and has dedicated her career to both performance and education, sharing her passion with students of all ages. Her training spans a wide range of disciplines, including tap, ballet, jazz, lyrical, modern, gymnastics, acrobatics, voice, and theatre. Nadine has had the privilege of studying under many distinguished artists, among them George Tomal (ABT Co.), Carolyn Clark (ABT Co.), Joseph Carow (ABT Co.), Edward Villella (NYC Ballet Co.), Mia Michaels (So You Think You Can Dance), Savion Glover, Omar Edwards (Bring in 'Da Noise, Bring in 'Da Funk), Robert Fitch (Annie), Frank Hatchett, Germaine Salsburg, Phil Black, and Charles (Chuck) Kelley.

General InformationAtlantic Center for the Arts' Summer Art Camp welcomes you to ACA Main Campus!We're excited to offer children the opportunity to explore different artists and artistic styles through creative, hands-on instruction. Each week, campers will rotate through three engaging classes, with new teachers and themes. This offers fresh experiences and exciting new projects through the summer. Each class is led by one of our dedicated instructors and lasts for an hour. There is downtime for snacks, stretching, games, and lunch. Participants will meet new friends and take-home artwork every week. AgeGrades K-5 (must have completed Kindergarten) Registration & PaymentRegistration is on a first-paid, first-served basis. WaitlistIf a weekly session reaches 50 participants, ACA will create a wait list. Wait listed families will be contacted up to 5 PM on the Monday of each session if space opens. ScholarshipsFinancial aid is available for students in need of assistance. Scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, if funds are available. Lunch and SnackStudents must bring their own lunch and snack in containers with their names clearly written on the outside. Lunches will not be stored in refrigerators. It is important for us to be apprised of any medical issues. This information is held in the strictest confidence by ACA staff and is only available to Camp Instructors at staff discretion. ACA is open to enrollment of campers with disabilities on a trial basis. General InformationAtlantic Center for the Arts' Summer Art Camp welcomes you to ACA Yurick Studios! We're excited to offer campers the opportunity to explore different artists and artistic styles through creative, hands-on instruction. AgeGrades 6-9 Registration & PaymentRegistration is on a first-paid, first-served basis. WaitlistIf a weekly session reaches 15 participants, ACA will create a wait list. Wait listed families will be contacted up to 5 PM on the Monday of each session if space opens. ScholarshipsFinancial aid is available for students in need of assistance. Scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, as long as funds are available. Full scholarships are only awarded in cases of extreme hardship. Occasionally, instructors may ask teens to bring in special items for a project such as copies of family photos or common household items. No RefundsIf your teen is unable to attend, your purchase will count as a donation to ACA and be used for future scholarships. Arrival & DismissalSummer Camp runs Tuesday through Friday from 8:45 AM to 2:00 PM. Drop-off & Pick-up Procedures:Camp Classes end at 2:00 PM. Teens should be picked up 2:00 – 2:30 PM at ACA Yurick Studios. Participants must be signed in and out by their parent or guardian each day. Early/Late Drop-off & Pick-up or Alternate Guardian:Parents must provide advance notice for early/late drop-off or pick up, and the full name of individuals who are authorized to drop off or pick up. If someone other than the parent or guardian is picking up the teen, their full name must be provided in writing. The person picking up the teen must provide a photo ID. Lunch and SnackStudents must bring their own lunch and snack in containers with their names clearly written on the outside. Lunches will not be stored in refrigerators. Cold packs inside lunch boxes are recommended. Health Concerns & AllergiesParents must advise us of any health concerns including but not limited to allergies. It is important for us to be apprised of any medical issues. This information is held in the strictest confidence by ACA staff and is only available to Camp Instructors at staff discretion. Disabilities PolicyIt is ACA's sincere wish that our programs be open and accessible to all participants, regardless of ability. ACA is open to enrollment of campers with disabilities on a trial basis. This is done with the understanding that some participants may require the presence and assistance of a parent or guardian to provide additional assistance. If at any time ACA staff feels that the participant is experiencing ongoing challenges or difficulties in the camp environment that have a disruptive effect on the group, ACA reserves the right to ask that participation be discontinued. Program Components: The Healing Arts for Homeschool Students combines visual arts, culinary exploration, and dance/ movement to provide a well-rounded, immersive educational experience. The program takes place on the second Tuesday of each month during the school year at ACA's main campus. The students rotate through three engaging classes, each with a different teacher and theme. This year's theme is Florida Nature. She began as a high school art teacher and went on to earn five teaching degrees, including a master's degree and certification as areading specialist. In retirement, she remains active in the arts community, volunteering with the Atlantic Center for the Arts (ACA) and creating distinctive paper collages that reflect her lifelong passion for education and the arts.   Sue Flynn became a Personal Chef in 2002 after a 30-year career in retail. A member of the United States Personal Chef Association (USPCA), she earned her certification in 2005. Her lifelong interest in teaching found expression at Atlantic Center for the Arts, where she has led culinary programs including "Food as Art" for middle school students, ACA's summer art camp, and most recently The Healing Arts for Homeschool Students program (2022–2025). Nadine Soldivieri is an accomplished performer and teacher with an extensive background in the performing arts. She earned her Associate of Arts degree in Theatre Arts and has dedicated her career to both performance and education, sharing her passion with students of all ages. Her training spans a wide range of disciplines, including tap, ballet, jazz, lyrical, modern, gymnastics, acrobatics, voice, and theatre. Nadine has had the privilege of studying under many distinguished artists, among them George Tomal (ABT Co.), Carolyn Clark (ABT Co.), Joseph Carow (ABT Co.), Edward Villella (NYC Ballet Co.), Mia Michaels (So You Think You Can Dance), Savion Glover, Omar Edwards (Bring in 'Da Noise, Bring in 'Da Funk), Robert Fitch (Annie), Frank Hatchett, Germaine Salsburg, Phil Black, and Charles (Chuck) Kelley.
